Idea of going to Europe by car has been on my mind for years. There has been always something more important why the trip has been postponed again and again. Now after a discussion about it with my fiancée we decided that now or never is our time to execute it. We just have had our first child on January and new she was 5 months old at the time of starting the trip. Perfect age for a long car trip we thought. Well, read on and you’ll find we were right about it or not.
Planning the trip wasn’t an easy task. There’s a plenty to see in Europe and to try to fit all in for the one trip would be a fatal mistake. Therefore I did a lot of searching in internet trying to find places we would really want to see. Very good place to start finding information is Sonera Plaza’s travel forum. Also very good help for planning the trip was ViaMichelin’s route planner. Addition to those I contacted many cities tourist offices and requested brochures and information about their area.
